SERPd is a place to find and share stories related to SEO, SEM, Internet marketing and the like.
Stories that are not related to these topics are what we consider to be spam. Do not submit spam, you will make SERPd angry. You would not like SERPd when it is angry!
Here are some of the common sense ground rules laid out to make SERPd a better home to our community:
Spam is off topic content that no one that visits SERPd wants to see. There are plenty of places on the web to post about Viagra pills, sports news, and a million other off topic stories. SERPd is not the place for that. Our community is SEO & Internet marketing professionals. They want news related to what they do. Please be a good neighbor and provide only stories that are related to the focus of this website. Failure to do so can have negative consequences for you. Your spam post will be removed by our site moderators and you will be flagged as suspect. If you continue to try to post spam you will receive warnings and eventually be banned. SERPd is a gentle kind peace loving SEO community site. SERPd does not want to do this to any of its users. Help SERPd not go postal on you by following the simple guidelines laid out here.
Please only one account per user. As a community of professionals, people will want to get to know you. Creating multiple accounts to vote on your own stories is a good way to become an outcast. Do not do this. We have no problem with anyone submitting their own stories to SERPd. If you want votes on them, make sure the content is good. It will get votes. The more good content you submit the more popular you will become in the community. We use Gravatar for our avatars. Just give SERPd your Gravatar email and we'll do the rest.
Anyone registered member is able to comment on a story. We ask that you attempt to remain civil in your discourse. Baiting, personal attacks, or trolling are a good way to make SERPd angry. As mentioned early, do not make SERPd angry. Post as if you intend to have your Grandmother read your comments and you will be fine. If you continue to violate common sense in your comments, warnings and even banning of your account may occur. If you feel someone is violating any rules simply notify SERPd and we will deal with it swiftly.
SERPd wants to have a great community and foster information sharing and learning. If you make SERPd angry, SERPd reserves the right to handle any issues on a case by case basis and take any actions it deems necessary for the well being of the community.
